"It’s been an ongoing problem"

About: Community Services - North Devon / Adult Community Nursing Holsworthy Hospital

(as a service user),

Holsworthy community nurse team we find that they do not care about patients if you phone up they talk to you as if it is wrong to be phoning them and feels like they can choose if you get care or not even if doctors have told them to.

They seem to pretend that they are rushed of their feet when in the background it sounds as if theirs a party going on.

It’s been an ongoing problem with Holsworthy. It feels there is no morals at management level so that has gone down to the front line.

My name is Mel and I am the Community Nurse Team Manager for Holsworthy. On behalf of the team, I am sorry if this is how we made you feel, this is not what we would wish for. We are passionate about the care we provide to patients and strive to deliver the best service.

I note your concerns about the background noise. The team do strive to maintain a positive atmosphere, I am unsure if you are referring to a visit or a telephone call but if we appeared insensitive on this occasion I apologise. Clinical members of our team do have to sit within a shared office on some occasions and the background noise is sometimes outside of our control.
