About: The Wells Road Centre

(as a service user),

I went to prison, then they section me. I was brought into the Wells Road Centre. I stayed there for 12 years 9 months. Because I would not tell the Authority who had committed a serious assault that it was wrongly said to be me. I was tested they found nothing (meaning no DNA). I later wrote my story. The doctors seen what I wrote then decided to set me free.  I feel I was hard done too. I am now in training to because a mentor in drugs and alcohol indiction. Also I am working voluntarily at a homeless placement feeding them.

I would just like to add to my story. That since I have been discharged from the Wells Road Centre. I have received the best aftercare service. My C.P.N Tracy deserves a pay rise cause she has been a rock in my recovery.

Dear shudderqm65,

Thank you for sharing your story. I am sorry to hear that you felt hard done too with your experience. I will feed this back to the ward staff and the medics. Its fantastic to hear about your recovery and that you are now in training as a mentor to work with people who misuse substances. I also hope you are enjoying your voluntary work, working with the homeless.

It is also lovely to hear about your care since leaving the Wells Road Centre and that you are receiving the best aftercare service from your CPN Tracey.
