"I felt very reassured that he was in safe hands"

About: Paediatrics / Oak Ward

(as a parent/guardian),

My son broke his leg at a rugby match. He was taken to musgrove hospital a&e department. Then he was transferred to oak ward.

I felt so worried about him. But everyone was very kind, very professional and I felt very reassured that he was in safe hands.

There were some extremely kind nurses and student nurses and HCAs on the ward who went the extra mile to show consideration and care.

Dear Bravohb73

Many thanks for your time in sharing your fabulous feedback about your son's stay on Oak ward!

I am so pleased to hear your son received such kindness, consideration and thorough care from all our staff colleagues who looked after your son. It must have being a very stressful time for you all and I am so glad you felt your son was in safe hands during his stay with us - we understand the importance of providing all the supportive care needed to help ease such worrisome times.

I will share your feedback with everyone who looked after your son including our staff colleagues on Oak ward and the Orthopaedic Speciality team involved in your son's care. I will also share with the wider Children's Unit. Everyone will be delighted to hear about your very kind feedback.

I wish your son a fast and smooth recovery.

Kindest regards

Dr Holly
