"Therapist put her heart and sole into helping our daughter"

My daughter was referred to Jane via The Oaks Autism team for art therapy to help with her issues around eating.

Initially we were nervous because we had never heard of art therapy, but were keen for any help we could get. She went into her first appointment a timid, anxious, distressed little girl and after only a few appointments with Jane we began to see our girl becoming more like herself again. As the weeks passed the improvements continued, she really enjoyed the appointments and got on so well with Jane, who totally put her heart and sole into helping our daughter.

We will be forever grateful to Jane for her help and support through what was a really difficult time.

Thank you for taking the time to write such lovely words about your experience with The Autism Service, especially about Jayne our Creative Therapist. In the Autism Service we acknowledge that when children and young people attend appointments this can be a very anxiety provoking time and I am delighted to hear that Jayne's approach to intervention helped to support your daughter through a difficult time.

I will be sure to share your feedback with Jayne and the rest of the staff within the Autism Service. This provides assurance to everyone in the team that the intervention we are offering to children and young people and their families is meeting their needs.
