"Excellent standard of care"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

During a recent trip to Scotland I unfortunately became unwell and had to ring 999.

Within around 30 minutes the paramedics from Motherwell were with me and immediately began caring for me.

From there I was taken to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride where the care really couldn’t have been better.

Dr Mulholland was absolutely excellent, as were the nurses in the ED and especially  Jade who looked after me very well.

CT scans and MRIs were delivered within a timely and caring manner and I was able to be discharged on time for my planned flight back to Northern Ireland. I really couldn’t have asked for better.
