"Round 2 different day same ill treatment"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

Well back to ED ulster

Last week with severe stomach pain apparently I took a seizure before I was booked on (I was with my son ) I was again around in orange on a trolly in serve pain crying a rolling about. The nurse was very damanding and yelling at me to get if the trolly. This is totally unacceptable. No matter what

So I say down on a seat then told to move so a cubical where I would have bloods done etc I was then yelled at to lie on bed I can’t hardly move in pain I was doubled over holding the top of stomach. This is no way to speak to patients at all.

So they go ahead with sticky tabs for ecg cos I didn’t have a wrist band on they shouted at me again asking was I booked on . How was i meant to know what was going on if i was booked on or not .

The nurse forced me arm up and out saying that they need blood. It was quite forceful . I snap back as I was already in pain told to leave my left arm alone I didn’t need it broke again. ( it was frozen shoulder completely and only after getting it sorted out privately with injection to try and get it moving so they near set me right back with it ). I said if they need bloods it’s the right arm not hand . I was told you better swing legs of the bed I was doubled over in two with pain. The nurse then went put line in it was sore due to the way they forced the needle  in I did say that was a bit sore well it’s in and I’m not taken it out!

I went on to say that I was in flare of fibromyalgia but this was ignored. I was told to sit back we’re I was and they left. no help or anything, well my husband and son where outside the cubicle and call me I try to turn around in pain still double over ! I think staff thought I was I was alone and faking it, not with my family . But even if I was there was way to treat someone like that . I was then given iv pain relief and bag of fluids before dr seen me

It was the serve attitude and treatment from nursing staff . You could clearly see I was in severe pain .even when I went to toilet I came out the nurse in that zone looked at me if I was in the wrong etc .
