"It is a brilliant service"

About: Community Forensic Services / Nottinghamshire MBT Service

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

The MBT group helped me to cope, manage and consider my responses instead of reacting. It made me feel safe and stable emotionally and mentally. It has helped me maintain more stable relationships in personal and work life.

Regular weekly groups meant I could be more open and was able to build up my trust. The clinicians were brilliant, they created a safe environment and upheld the principles of mentalizing.

Both clinicians were non-judgemental and compassionate, and this helped me tolerate my emotions. They treated everyone equal and were kind and gentle yet managed the group really well.

I was very confident with the clinicians and feel they are the key to me finding the group so beneficial. It is a brilliant service – thank you!

Dear MBT group member,

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback which really helps us to understand your experience of MBT therapy. It’s good to hear how regular weekly group sessions enabled you to trust your peers and feel safe enough to engage in the work. It sounds like you’ve put a great deal of effort into using your time in therapy to work on your difficulties and can now see the benefits of this with being able to cope more with your emotions and relationships. Well done!

What lovely feedback about the facilitators - thank you for sharing! It’s brilliant to hear our group facilitators were experienced as non-judgemental, compassionate, and kind, maintaining the framework of a mentalizing group.

Wishing you all the very best for the future,

Amy
