Admitted the night before neurosurgery. Ended up staying on the ward for 5 weeks. Throughout my time, I was care for by many fantastic and compassionate nurses!
The nurse that cared for me in recovery was wonderful! I can't remember too much but felt so safe and care for! Every nurse in charge and dws was so friendly, caring and professional! Ali, Ruth, Kathy, Emily were all so brilliant!Huge thank you, to every hca from the trust and every domestic! felt so looked after and cared for! All truly lovely people and a ray of sunshine throughout a difficult and challenging five weeks! Jody, John, Aine, Debbie and Teresa thank you! And nqn, Caroline, you were so wonderful throughout my time! Hope you know how safe I felt on days when I knew you were taking care of me! And that beautiful smile! My experience was filled with ups and downs, I found it difficult to advocate, the amount of agency staff made this even more difficult. However, some agency staff has went so above and beyond, making me feel so at ease during a time which was extremely difficult an upsetting for myself. Huge thank you especially to Sinead! What a star! Claire, Caroline, Joyce, Nimisha, Jinci, Jenitta, Emma, Grace Louise, Bibi, Christine, Clodagh, Fifi, Vanessa, thank you.Huge thank you to the OT especially Hazel, and the physio team who have honestly got me to where I am today! So underrated and so fantastic at their jobs and as people! Felt so safe and care for by AHP and listened to, more than the nursing team sometimes (so grateful for this, and truly holistic care). Richard, Emily and Cathy were particularly wonderful in their support, compassion and direction of my care! Words aren't enough and I am extremely grateful to have met you all!
Huge thank you to every student nurse from qub I met whilst on 4F! Every single one of them treated me with dignity, care and listened. Truly wonderful and so reassuring when so many of them were closer to my age too. Some of them better than the staff nurses! Listened to issues, cared and made me feel comfortable to advocate. I wish them all the best with their assignments, exams and future placements!
