About: Buxton Medical Practice

I recently had some health concerns that led me to attend the Buxton Medical Practice for the first time.

From the outset, I was treated respectfully and professionally by all staff but perhaps more importantly with an open, friendly and reassuring welcome. The process for booking an appointment was easy, efficient and timely with excellent communication throughout. It’s always good to have email and text confirmation which is then backed up with timely reminders.

I saw a locum doctor, who took time to listen and make copious notes before undertaking her initial examination. From this point she organised blood tests, x-rays and an ECG which were completed within 7days. Immediately results were available I was given the opportunity to have an in-depth consultation with the practice doctor. This was relaxed, informative and extremely helpful. Resulting actions and follow-up were discussed thoroughly and left me feeling reassured and confident that I had received the best possible response to my health concerns.

All this within one week! So how do I rate Buxton Medical Practice?

Communication: outstanding

Quality of patient care: outstanding

Attentiveness of medical and administrative staff: outstanding

Quite simply, a great example of how patient centred healthcare should be.
