"Pre operation assessment for breast cancer"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Pre-Assessment Clinic

(as a service user),

I can only say that since I had my diagnosis in August 2023, I have been impressed with the NHS services from both Ninewells and PRI.

I was early for my appointment at the Pre Assessment appointment but I didn't have to wait very long. If I remember correctly, I met with Sheena and she was lovely.  Sheena asked me if was ok with having a male student in, which was absolutely fine with me. Sheena was very professional but also lovely in the sense that  I didn't feel like the "next"  scenario, very understanding and empathetic. I felt treated like a person and we also had a few wee laughs which was good.  I had to see Diane who had to check my  heart and I also felt comfortable and and had a good chat and laugh. My experience was positive and I felt really comfortable and at ease. Lovely ladies as was the student (sorry I can't remember his name).

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback on your visit to the Pre Assessment clinic PRI, we really appreciate it.

The team work hard to provide a friendly and professional environment for our patients and this seems reflected in your experience. It also provides a supportive and interactive learning opportunity for our nursing students.

Your comments will be shared with Sheena, Diane and the rest of our team.
