"Patient and understanding staff"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Xrays & Scans

(as the patient),

I went for an MRI scan of my head for potential TIA. I had been given diazepam as I have been diagnosed with PTSD from my previous stroke.

I was taken to the scanner and began to panic. The diazepam hadn't kicked in yet. The radiographers were great and allowed me to sit back in waiting room till the medication had relaxed me some more. They were patient and understanding. I then was able to proceed with the scan shortly after.

Dear Twiggyty

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on the Staff within the MRI department. I am pleased you were able to complete your scan - and given the time and space to be able to prepare for it. Radiology work hard at making each patients experience a positive one, and your feedback reinforces just how important this is.

I will pass on your thanks to the team, and I hope your health continues to improve.

Many Thanks

Jen
