"Amazing attention!"

In August this year I was visiting the United Kingdom from Australia where I now live. Unfortunately while on a trip to Bath to celebrate my 80th birthday, with my extended family, I had a fall which resulted in a laceration to my forehead.

I was taken to the Accident & Emergency Department in the Royal United Hospital.

The attention I received was outstanding from the moment I was assessed in triage to the treatment by one of the medical staff. The whole incident was handled most professionally both with humour and reassurance. I was able to return to the house in which we were staying and join in the celebrations which had been prepared for me. Without the efficient way in which the Department managed my care- the weekend would have been a disaster!
