My Mum was admitted to Ward 206 recently and was cared for by the team there until her peaceful death.
The attention and kind, gentle care that my Mum received from the team in Ward 206 was absolutely incredible, with every member of staff doing their utmost to ensure that she was as calm and comfortable as she could possibly be at all times.
In addition to this they also extended the same levels of care to my partner and I throughout our daily visits to the ward over a period of 21 days. This made this challenging and stressful time so much easier for my Mum and us.
The dedicated way these professionals - at all levels of role - go about their work in a challenging environment is as outstanding as it is humbling to watch. We started making a note of the names of members of staff that went beyond just doing their job, however we quickly identified this was not needed as they all have the same passion to care and go way beyond what is expected.
They are quite simply wonderfully kind, caring and attentive people that care for patients as though they were their own family. So to the whole team and especially Amy, Katie B, Katie H, Linsey, Ailie, Claire, Blair, Hazel and Connor, a heartfelt thank you for your amazing care of my Mum and us - you are incredible 💚
"Wonderfully kind, caring and attentive people"
