"Wonderful Care at RACH"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Accident & Emergency (Emergency Care) Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Surgical Paediatrics (Children's Surgery)

(as a parent/guardian),

This week my son became unwell and my husband brought him to RACH ED. From there he was admitted to the surgical ward for overnight fluids which thankfully made him much better and we were able to return home the next day.

I just want to thank all the staff involved in his care both in ED and on the ward. All the doctors, surgeons and nursing staff were great with him (and us, the anxious parents) despite him being very distressed.

The facilities in RACH are great, my son enjoyed the play area once he began to feel well again and the deli style lunch really was a real novelty for him.

Thanks again to all the staff involved in his care, they made a really stressful situation much easier to deal with and we're really grateful.

Hi Happymumofone,

Thnak you so much for posting this feedback. It means such a lot to hear from parents and children when we get things right. The ED and surgical ward teams work very hard to make the care journey as stress-free as possible for families and I am delighted that your son's experience was such a positive one. I hope you son is now fully recovered and I will of course share your feedback with the teams. Thank you.
