"Great staff, but waiting a long time"

About: South West Acute Hospital / Radiology

(as the patient),

I wasn't seen til almost an hour after my appointment time. The receptionist asked how long I'd been waiting. I told them at that stage I'd been waiting to be seen for around 45 mins.

Around 10 mins later another member of staff came out of the radiology ward and asked me the same question,  so I said 55 mins at the point. They were very apologetic, and then 2 mins later the radiologist came out and called me in to take the x-ray that was needed.

The radiologist was very good and only took 5 mins to get the job done. Fair play to them all, they're doing their best to see everyone in time, but this was just a slip up this time around, though no hard feelings 😊 thank you, SWAH staff, keep up the good work guys👍

Hello Dick457, thank you for leaving your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you had to wait when you attended Radiology recently. I appreciate your understanding. I don't know the exact details of your appointment and if you want to contact me at the department I could look into the delay. Regardless of the reason I would expect that staff should keep patients informed at all times. I will remind staff of this. Please accept my apologies and best wishes.
