We went for our NHS 12 week scan at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital with our second pregnancy. Sadly our first pregnancy had ended in a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks and the memories of seeing the scan the previous time with no heartbeat made us so anxious.
We were called through and saw Danielle who was so friendly and caring, she could see how anxious we were and said it was completely understandable considering our previous loss - this confirmed to us she must have read our notes and knew what we had experienced before which we were touched to know she had gone to the effort of doing that.
She quickly set up the ultrasound and confirmed to us immediately there was a lovely healthy heartbeat and everything looked perfect. It was a huge relief and we could then enjoy the rest of the appointment, we had a great laugh as the baby wouldn't stay still for measurements! Danielle was so interested in us as a couple/family and we felt so relaxed in the appointment and left with big smiles on our faces.
I just want to say a huge thank you to Danielle for doing such an amazing job, those little things make such a difference and we will always remember her and our lovely 12 week scan.
