"Unable to store all the continence products"

About: Enhanced Care / Continence Service

(as a carer),

They have changed the lifting times from 1 month till 2 months for my disabled sons pads.

This means lifting this many pads at one time is such an inconvenience as I have nowhere to store them all because of building work which should not affect us whatsoever.

Then when I told them that I could only take 1 month at a time as I normally do they told me I would lose the other month if I didn't take 2 months which I haven't the room for.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.

The change to the collection schedule at Portadown Health Centre will come into affect from 1st of December. This is to help with traffic and parking difficulties at the centre which unfortunately has become more difficult due to the current improvement works.

I am really sorry to hear to you will have difficulties storing more products. Please be assured we recognise this as a potential problem for some of our patients and we are more than happy to work with individual patients and relatives/carers to come up with an appropriate solution. Please also be assured there will be no loss or reduction to the current amount of products prescribed to any of our patients.

I will contact the centre manager to ensure staff working at the product collection point are giving out the correct information regarding this change.
