"Occupational Therapist very good but long waiting list"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Occupational Therapy

(as a service user),

I had a consultation with Tracy  Occupational Therapist for 1 hour.

I have issues with my hands/wrists/fingers and thumbs with at times severe pain with Osteo-arthritis.

I have received physio and guided injections into my fingers and thumbs over the last 2 years.

I have to say Tracy provided more info and practical ideas than at anytime.

I can only see Tracy after more than 8 weeks time because of the extensive waiting list.

Many thanks for taking the time to tell us about your recent experience of seeing Tracy the Occupational Therapist. I'm so glad to hear that the information and practical ideas that Tracy provided were helpful to you. I will share your feedback with her and I know she will be encouraged to hear it.

In terms of the waiting list to see Tracy again, this is an issue that we are aware of and actions have recently been put in place to address the situation. We expect to see an improvement in the waiting list soon, but I am very sorry for the impact it is having on you in the meantime.

I trust that you will continue to benefit from Tracy's input going forward and wish you all the best with your treatment. Many thanks again for taking the time to get in touch.
