"Recent hospital admission"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department University Hospital Monklands / Medical Assessment Unit University Hospital Monklands / Stroke/Medicine for the Older Adult

(as the patient),

After developing worrying symptoms after a road accident I went to Monklands Hospital A&E recently.

Seen after a short wait, I was examined by a doctor and in consultation with the consultant was admitted to the MAU. I was later transferred to Ward 19 and from there to the stroke unit, where I was diagnosed, a treatment plan formulated and I was discharged.

Throughout my stay I was impressed by the caring professionalism I was treated with. From doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and radiologists to ancillary staff and porters, their dedication and competence was evident throughout my stay.
