"Nothing has changed!"

About: St Thomas' Hospital (London)

Anything else?

My mother and other patients on the Mark Ward at St Thomas' experienced dreadful neglect earlier this year. So concerned for her safety, my family decided to discharge my mother back home. We are glad we did as her health improved immediately. Our experience of that ward is similar to those recorded at Mid Staffs. We, of course complained, but we know nothing has changed. PALs are ineffective at St Thomas' - it just puts another layer between the person complaining and the source of the complaint - but nothing improves.
