"Journey from alcoholism to sobriety"

About: Dame Carol Detoxification Service Inclusion Recovery Hampshire

(as a service user),

I have been drinking to excess from  2017 to a peak during Covid where I realised I required help and needed sobriety.

Due to the situation with the general practitioner services,  I was encouraged to refer to Inclusion. Following 18 months engagement with Key workers , funding was then arranged by my key worker for admission to Dame Carol Detox centre. I understood how fortunate I was to be provided such an opportunity.

The stay at DCDS has been kind, respectful, informative, encouraging and positive. Staff and residents respect each others experiences providing coping and support strategies to avoid triggers and unhelpful thoughts.

I have come from the experience positive for the future and my family's future. I'm looking forward to a healthier, productive and brighter future.
