"Staff were kind, caring and very thorough"

About: Maternity / Emergency Obstetric Unit

(as a service user),

I recently needed to be seen on a weekend by the Ulster EOU unit before being admitted to the maternity ward in the Ulster. Every person that I spoke with was fantastic and I have felt very well looked after from start to finish. Staff were kind, caring and very thorough. It was a very worrying time but staff helped and supported both me and my husband.

The medical staff that seen me were also very good but extremely stretched. Covering such a large site and responding to many calls between maternity,  EOU and gynae. This meant that they had a massive delay in getting my length to help direct treatment. I feel that a weekend needs much more medical cover given the serious cases staff have to deal with.
