"A fantastic midwife"

About: Maternity care / Midwife Led Unit

(as the patient),

I was induced and had my beautiful baby girl. The midwife who delivered my daughter was called Eilidh and she was just fantastic!

I had a long labour and she was so encouraging of both myself and my partner! She was on shift twice during my labour and I was so happy when she came back on shift and was the one to deliver our daughter - she is definitely in the right job, I’m so thankful to her!

I also had a third-degree tear and lost a lot of blood, I had to go to theatre and she was fantastic with my partner when I was in there! We can’t thank her enough for everything she did for us and our daughter!

Many congratulations on the birth of your baby Girl.

We thank you for your kind words and recognition of the staffs involvement in your care. we will ensure Eilidh receives your feedback.

Having the skills and knowledge to support you and your partner through you pregnancy and birth journey is a key aspect of the midwives role. We are pleased that although your journey was a long one and you sustained a third degree tear that you felt secure and well looked after throughout this. This level of care is what we wish for all women in our care.

We hope you are recovering well. Thanks again for your feedback.
