I was admitted to the new NTC to have a total knee replacement done.
I was very nervous but soon put at ease by the wonderful staff.
For every part of my stay I was treated with dignity respect and friendliness. From admission to discharge, everything was explained clearly and with little fuss.
My operation was done and the theatre staff kept me entertained with all their chat, I felt very cold and a warm air blanket was tucked around me along with earphones playing my favourite music - in fact, I think it was the most relaxing few hours I have had for a long time.
Recovery room staff checked me over with care, again explaining everything they were doing.
So to all the amazing staff in the new unit I want to say a big thank you, I think we are very lucky in Fife to have the Victoria Hospital.
