"Definitely a team which are an invaluable asset to NHS Fife"

About: Maternity care / Community Midwives Maternity care / Midwife Led Unit

(as the patient),

I safely delivered my second baby in the Induction/MLU department a few weeks ago.

The team were an advocate for myself at a vulnerable time in my life to ensure my wishes for birth were followed.

Being surrounded in a setting which makes you feel relaxed/calm/safe (homely feeling) rather than a clinical environment allowed me to cope with labour.

Every member of the team from auxiliaries, student midwives and midwives are a credit to the MLU department. They all provided comfort, support and encouragement during my labour and delivery. Definitely a team which are an invaluable asset to NHS Fife.

Thank you also to the community midwives (the meadows team) - both antenatal and postnatal for the care, support and always listening to any concerns.

Congratulations to you and your family on the birth of your baby.

I am delighted to hear you felt supported and the midwives ensured your wishes for birth were followed. We always try our best to listen to what is important during this special and vulnerable time. The MLU team will be delighted to hear your kind words.

I will also share with the Meadows team your thanks for their support and care provided in your pregnancy and in the postnatal period.

It means a lot to our teams that you have made the effort to feedback your experience whilst in our care.
