"Egg custards rock"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Oncology

(as a carer),

This week I was sent to Waddington ward, the Lincoln Oncology assessment centre by Boston Chemo Suite due to some side effects from my chemo treatment. It’s the 6th treatment of carboplatin and paclitaxel and although I am used to it this time the pain and other aspects were far worse.

I arrived and was greeted by a lovely admin receptionist who guided me to exactly where I needed to be. I then met the wonderful team, Linda B and nurses who were very professional and reassuring.

The care is exemplary. I also met Dr Sunday who explained everything in detail and issued medication. He was very professional and caring. He also referred me for an MRI. I cannot thank the Assessment team in Waddington Ward enough. Even when staying positive it’s a scary journey made bearable by the wonderful staff. Thank you. Egg custards rock.

Dear Austen fan

Good morning, we would firstly like to thank you for such kind words at what was a distressing time for you, having to attend the assessment unit and being in so much pain. We have passed on your compliments to the staff involved and we are elated to hear about the good service you were given. We strive to make our ward and assessment units the best they can be for patients and staff alike and we greatly appreciate your kind words and you taking the time to let us know your thoughts.

Thankyou again and we wish you all the best.

We hope you have had more egg custard.

Regards

Jennifer
