"I cannot fault the outstanding care I had at every stage"

About: Maternity care / Consultant Led Unit Maternity care / Maternity Ward Maternity care / Midwife Led Unit

(as the patient),

I recently gave birth in the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. I had a few diversions from my original birth plan and despite being low risk the entire time I was pregnant, I ended up having quite a traumatic birth.

I cannot fault the outstanding care I had at every stage of my labour journey. I spent time in the maternity led unit, induction suite, consultant led unit and the recovery suite.

Every single member of staff I encountered was kind, efficient and made me feel like I was in excellent hands. The staff looked after myself, my husband and my baby really well and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone involved in my care.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby. We are so very pleased that despite things not going to plan that you and your family have felt cared for and safe by everyone who cared for you.

This is what we strive for within our service and we thank you for recognising and acknowledging the staff. We will ensure your kind words are relayed back to them.

Thanks again
