Before coming to Cloughreagh I had been in Daisy Hill Hospital, I was a bit frightened to be going to Cloughreagh as I only new it as an old persons home.  But after being in Cloughreagh I must say that I was overwhelmed with the services provided.

All the staff in Cloughreagh are superb. I was always treated in a courteous manner and was involved in decisions about my care. The home environment is fantastic . The food in Cloughreagh was excellent  and there was always a choice of what to have . The Kitchen staff where very accommodating if you did not like what was on the Menu and would offer alternatives. 

While in Cloughreagh I was seen by the Physio and OT teams I found this very useful getting me ready for returning home . My overall opinion of my stay in Cloughreagh was brilliant it was like home from home I can't think of anything that could have been improved the service was excellent.

Thank you for sharing your story on Care Opinion, we really appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback on your experience while in Cloughreagh House. As a team we endeavor to provide a service that is unique to each persons' individual needs, we feel at great sense of achievement when we see that the care we provide has had a positive outcome for the Service Users to access it.

Yes the service provided in Cloughreagh House has changed significantly over the past number of years, this has been in response to the needs of older people who live within our community. The philosophy of person centred care remains our priority, where Service Users are treated with dignity, respect and empowered to make decisions about the care they receive.

I have shared your feedback with the team and they are also delighted that they played an important role in your recovery I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the staff team to thank you again for sharing your story and to wish you continued good health.
