"They had the real knack of putting patients at their ease"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Same Day Medical Assessment (SDMA)

(as a relative),

My husband was admitted into the SDMA at Treliske recently because he was suffering from a severe urinary tract infection. He was given IV antibiotics and a saline drip.

But the most memorable thing about the day was the superb care he received from the members of staff - in particular Jasmine, James and Seema (hope that spelling is correct!!).

All three of them were just brilliant. They explained everything so well, put us at our ease and were extremely caring. In addition they were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they were all so funny!

They had the real knack of putting patients at their ease and lightening the mood. They were just as good with every single other patient and their visitors.  All three are a terrific asset to patient care at this hospital.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely personal story about the Same Day Medical Assessment unit.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication the team provides every to ensure patients feel safe and care for.

The Unit leader and I are humbled to read such kind comments about the nursing team and have fed these back via the team meetings.
