Before Covid I was referred to gynaecology for stress incontinence and it was agreed I need an operation to help with this. I was all set and had passed on the pre-op assessments when I collapsed with gall stones.
The operation was cancelled and I had to wait for a year to be ready for it, and then covid happened.
I finally had my operation at Crosshouse this year. This was with the same consultant (Dr Sokolova) and the same consultant anaesthetist from my original operation date. This continuity of service, for years, has made the journey much more pleasant
Even after all these years the consultant anaesthetist remembered me and my details from the first time. It was marvellous.
I have just been to the Gynea outpatients clinic at Ayr Hospital and am now discharged.
"Marvellous continuity of service"
