In september I had my ulna replaced in my right wrist, and on this particular occassion a camera was put down to make sure everything had gone ok and there weren't any loose bits of bone floating around.
I was very satisfied with the ward. It was calm and the nurses put me at ease - very satisfied.
There are only two improvements to be made really:
1) Mr Gidden who did the operation didn't have chance to tell me what had been done after the operation because I was asleep. It had been scribbled in the usual "doctors handwriting" and couldn't read it. Could we have some kind of follow-up letter please?
2)There was no follow-up for the repeat visit to the hospital, there was no call or letter to arrange a check-up. A nurse from the fracture clinic said she would call the next day, but she didn't. So I had to arrange this myself.
