"Relative admitted to hospital"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Community Services / District Nursing Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Gynaecology Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

My granny recently took unwell one evening whilst my mum (her main carer) was on holiday.

We received amazing care from the start of the journey until the end. Special thanks to the Machars community nurses, ambulance service, DGRI Accident and Emergency and all the staff on ward D9.

Everyone was so pleasant and helpful and made a very stressful situation manageable. No question went unanswered and every member of staff we came into contact with was so lovely and couldn’t do enough to help.

All the staff on D9 were amazing and looked after my Granny with a very high standard of care. As a staff nurse myself it can be quite difficult when a close relative requires care and you find yourself on the other side but was very positive experience for us as a family. Thank you all.

Dear Gemma12

Thank you for taking time to get in touch through Care Opinion to offer us feedback on the care your granny received after taking unwell. What a worry this must have been for you all.

I am thrilled to read about all the staff who looked after her, it would appear all the care given has made a difference.

I hope your granny is feeling much better and is on the road to recovery

Kindest Regards and thanks again

Lesley
