I’ve had ongoing bowel issues since giving birth 6 months ago. Currently I’m still in the exploratory phase with my symptoms, trying to get a diagnosis/treatment plan. But the support I have had from my GP this far has been incredible. She’s been thorough, patient, kind and respectful. She follows through on what she says she’s going to do, and goes way above and beyond.

Last week I had a phone consultation and she wanted to follow up with an examination. I told her I had a Halloween party with my daughter within 40 mins and she told me that she would make room in her schedule for me to be seen and still make the party. She made me feel understood, cared for and valued. Just amazing. 

I don’t know what the next chapter will look like, and what further treatment I will need but the way the GP has treated me and made me feel is exemplary.

Feedback is very valuable to all areas of the NHS, and I'm sure the practice staff will be delighted to hear that your experience there has been positive. As each GP Practice is an independent business, we would recommend that you feedback your experience directly to the practice to allow this to be passed on to the GP herself. The Practice Manager can give you with details of how to provide this feedback to them, as per their Complaints and Feedback Policy.
