Staff are all amazing and the system works very smoothly. The reception staff especially are very friendly and put you at your ease. If it wasn’t for them this would have been a really long tedious journey.

One improvement I’d really like to see is an improvement in the heating - the waiting room is always cold.

It is better to bring your own water from home as it is more difficult to drink the cold water from the waiting room.

Car parking is always a problem - it is very stressful.

But from the oncologist to the cleaner, I think all the staff are great and I want to thank them all.

Dear Bramble1, thank you very much for taking the time to provide your feedback on our Radiotherapy Department. My name is Bob, one of the Support Workers who would have greeted you at Reception. It is very gratifying to hear that we put you at ease; it is always our intention to do so and provide a comfortable environment during your treatment.

This brings me to some downsides. Car parking is indeed a problem and we do recognise that this is stressful, especially when we want you to be relaxed in the treatment rooms. I also recognise how cold it can be whilst waiting in Reception, especially recently. I can assure you that these negative points are passed to our Head of Department, who in turn takes them to his departmental meetings with a view to having them addressed.

On a more positive footing, I will pass your kind words onto everyone from your Oncologist, our Therapeutic Radiographers, Oncology Support Nurses and to our Domestic Cleaner.
