"Immediately I can feel a release of pain"

About: General practices in Ayrshire & Arran

(as the patient),

I've been getting regular private physio for a hamstring injury. Unfortunately it has been giving me pain on and off for 2 years.

I went to the doctor to see about getting a scan and I was referred to Adam, who is the physio at my practice.

Adam spent a while finding out all the information that he needed from myself and carried out tests. I have discovered through this that it's my s2 disc that has been causing me the constant pain.

I've been given exercises and immediately I can feel a release of pain and I can walk and sit without being in pain. I'm delighted with the result.

Dear Whisperhw37

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your health care experience. It must have been really frustrating living with the pain from your hamstring injury for such a long time especially when all the exercises hadn't been making much difference.

I'm so pleased to hear that you were assessed by the Physio (Adam) based in your GP Practice and that he has been able to identify the cause of your pain and work with you to help provide ease and increase your mobility. I know at times recovering from an injury can be a long journey but it certainly sounds as if you're making excellent progress.

Our staff are thrilled to get feedback from their patients and I will ensure your comments are forwarded to Adam and the practice staff.

I wish you the very best for your continued recovery.

Best wishes

Marie
