"My Dad was treated like gold dust"

About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Covid Outpatient & treatment service

(as a relative),

My father - who is clinically vulnerable/immunosuppressed - contracted covid and needed antibody therapy urgently.

His GP initiated the referral very promptly. The service (PTU) in the Royal could not have been better. Dr Willis was so helpful and patient when conducting the phone interview with myself and my father (whose hearing is very poor).

Dr Willis arranged a parking spot for us outside the unit which was a godsend as my father was feeling poorly. The nurse administering the treatment, Damien, was also extremely kind, patient, and reassuring.

Overall, I felt that my Dad was treated like gold dust. I’d be so grateful if you could forward this review to their superiors to let them know how much their work is appreciated.

dear Jen Belfast

my name is Jane Sheridan and I am the service manager for the Nmabs/antiviral OCT service. Thank you for the lovely compliment regarding the team and the service they provide. I will ensure they are made aware of the your compliment. We all work hard to ensure this service is responsive to the needs of our patients and we are so pleased your father got his treatment in a timely manner. I hope he is keeping well since his treatment.

thank you

Jane Sheridan
