My Dad was transferred from Wythenshawe Hospital to Opal House recently and stayed for 7 weeks whilst being assessed under Dr Gull and colleagues.
Our experience was positive in that the staff we encountered were doing their level best to ensure the safety and welfare of patients in what are challenging times.
The environment was clean, well run and as homely as a half-way house can be, but all the staff (not just the nursing team) made a real effort to engage with patients where time permits, including where volunteers came to the house to provide entertainment.
Our thanks go to all the staff, and of particular note for their helpfulness and compassion Tyra, Delvin, Manju and Minu.
