(as a carer),

Husband admitted in the early hrs by ambulance to Resus at East Surrey Hospital.

The ambulance crew and all medical staff were caring towards me and my husband who has  a complex medical history. They were absolutely fabulous. They were kind, compassionate, efficient and professional, despite being under immense pressure. (There were patients stacked on beds in the corridor for hours).

My husband was admitted to a specialist ward, and seen by his consultant Dr Khalid, who went out of his way to see him on the ward,  knowing and understanding my husband's background re: previous hospital stays, and complex medical history ensured that everything was in place to meet my husband's wish to be discharged after a 24 hr stay on the ward.

My husband has experienced both good and has a previously extremely bad hospital stay and treatment at E.S, but this occasion was exceptional, huge respect to all the medical and Ambulance team.
