"Some blurring of my vision"

About: Outpatients Services / Level 8B Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I noticed over a period of a few weeks that my vision in my right eye was starting to blur considerably and there seemed to be a fading of colours as well. I contacted my optician who was concerned and contacted the emergency eye clinic.

I was seen very quickly, prescribed steroidal drops and anti inflammatory drops which I used for a month before being seen by a consultant, Mr Armstrong. During my first visit I was seen by two doctors who examined me very thoroughly and I was also examined carefully by Mr Armstrong, on both occasions my eyes were tested and scanned.

I cannot praise all those I came into contact with highly enough. From nurses to consultant I felt cared for, treated courteously and already have a follow up appointment. This experience has been the NHS at its best. My thanks to all involved.
