About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Trauma & Orthopaedics (Wards 1 & 5)

(as the patient),

I attended Hairmyres for a left knee arthroscopy. I was met at reception by Karen who took me through to the waiting area. Service from there on in was superb.  Nurses, surgical team and anaesthesia staff were extremely attentive and reassuring. Post op my treatment care was fantastic and I was discharged quickly and efficiently once recovered.

It is a worrying time attending hospital for a procedure and I am so pleased to hear that the welcoming and friendly manner of Karen has made you feel welcome into the ward and that the attentive and reassuring care you received from the nursing staff helped to make this as positive an experience as it could be,. This is the high standard of care our busy teams aim to deliver every day.
