"Staff are positive and give unique support"

About: Community Forensic Services / Assertive Transition Service (ATS) The Wells Road Centre

(as a service user),

My experience within the mental health services have been both positive and negative, I have had many ups and downs.

Staff/patient dynamics can differ greatly, dependent on what staff are available and the rapport I have with them.

On the other hand, the support I have received from then staff and doctors have been positive and beneficial to me stability of the mental illness I face.

The prescription eventually prescribed correctly has played a major fact in my progression, we still have work to complete towards greater progress for my moving forwards, within the mental health services.

Although, I have never accessed the service from ATS, this was never offered to me in previous placements, I do feel the support I get from all the ATS staff is a positive, unique support in its own sense, I feel I am treated as an equal, as a person, not as a patient.

Hi sambaqm99

Further to the response from the WRC, I would like to thank you from the ATS service for your valuable feedback.

I'm pleased you have had a positive experience with ATS and that they value you as a person and you are treated as an equal, this is really important in recovery and it should be the case throughout your journey from the beginning.

I would encourage you to continue engaging with services and don't give up on the important matters like medication.

I wish you all the best going forward

Nikki
