"Amazing staff"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General surgery (Wards 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d)

(as a service user),

I took another pancreas attack and was sent to the A&E at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow. I was treated by a nurse (male with shoulder length hair) and a doctor there who were kind, understanding and caring. Due to my illness I did not get there names but I am very thankful to them.

I then went to ward 9B who looked after me for a few days and then onto 9C. Again the staff in 9B were very caring and made me as comfortable as I could be.

Ward 9C is the ward I was in previously and I have to say they are a great bunch of people, very caring, understanding and really take an interest in how you are.

I would like to mention Dr Maeda who was the main doctor who looked after me and she was very good, caring and kept me in the loop with what was going on, also Dr Dorance who also came into see me was a lovely person and kneeled down to my level to chat and I thought that was so caring. I would also like to mention all the staff nurses who were lovely and worked hard. Sorcha and Jaqelene were just lovely. Michael the nursing assistant was so caring and took a real interest in how I was feeling. Thanks Michael. There was other nursing assistants (sorry I never got your names) lady with blond hair and a lady with darker hair who stopped to talk to me and recognised me from my last hospital stay. There is also a lady who cleaned my room (very hard worker) I am sure she if off a Wednesday and Thursday, lovely lady.

The thought of being in hospital fills people with dread but I have to say my two visits to hospital were excellent and that is down to the staff as they are so caring and kind.

So a big thanks again from me to you all.

Dear Dazdoh,

I was really sorry to read that you had another admission with us, but so pleased to hear that you had another exceptionally positive experience.

It is lovely to have all of our staff team acknowledged for the various jobs that they do to ensure the patient stay is pleasant, comfortable and above all caring, during what is often a very stressful time.

I hope that you are well now and remain well.

I wish to thank you for the time you have taken to give us this feedback,

I will share with the team and I feel sure that they will be very appreciative.

Best wishes for the future,

Debbie
