"Went out of their way to help me"

About: Outpatient Clinics / Diabetic Nursing clinic

(as a service user),

I had trouble getting my insulin injection , nowhere in Inverclyde could get it and I had used my last dose that morning. I was worried sick.

Heather, the diabetes nurse, went out her way and got me an alternative injection and even provided me with a prescription that she put into the pharmacy on her lunch break so I could collect it and have it for the next day.

I really appreciated all the help and support , especially as I had been discharged from the team for a few years but know one else knew how to help as they couldn’t get my insulin anywhere .

Dear Baxter55

Thank you so much for taking the time to send us your story, as the Chief Nurse for Inverclyde HSCP, it is lovely to hear that Heather was able to help you when you were unable to get your Insulin. No wonder you were so worried and I am so glad Heather could assist you.

Our nurses work hard to support everyone who uses our services, but knowing they have made such a difference is great feedback and very much appreciated.

Thank you again and take care

Laura Moore
