I waited 3 years to be seen at the pain clinic and was hoping for support and understanding.
Whilst everyone was welcoming and pleasant, my appointment unfortunately felt rushed.
I was asked if I was tired all the time and I said no, but I was still given a rushed fibromyalgia diagnosis. I didn’t feel heard and was so disappointed.
I believe my pain is caused by being a type 1 diabetic for over 30 years.
I was told that a prescription for an alternative pain relief would be sent to my doctors.
Two months later a prescription request was sent to my GP surgery. Unfortunately the doctor prescribed something which apparently is not allowed on the NHS.
I now have no pain relief on prescription as my GP has removed my original item.
I was told I would receive a call from the doctor in 2 weeks, they never called.
