(as a service user),

I was seen at the out of hours service by a lovely nurse who promptly had me admitted to ward 24 overnight. Understandably I was apprehensive about being admitted when I was hoping to be able to go home that same night but when arriving on the ward I was greeted by the nightshift who I cannot fault at all. They were all so lovely and attentive, making sure I was comfortable, putting my mind at ease and making sure I had everything I needed. I was seen by both the registrar and FY2 who were both professional and friendly.

Once the dayshift arrived any request I had whether it be for pain relief or a jug of water was fulfilled immediately despite how rushed of their feet they were. Thankfully I didn’t need to spend more than one night in hospital but I can’t thank the staff enough, especially everyone on the night shift. I wish I could remember their names so I could thank them properly.
