"Bartholin cysts and skene gland cysts infection pain"

About: The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Gyn Ward and Outpatient Clinics

(as a service user),

Waited so long for this appointment.

Took history of four years with me.

Explained what the pain was.

If felt like they weren't interested at all, kept just repeating what do you want me to do?

As if we'd swapped roles and I was no longer a scared patient.

No questions.

She looked found the source but didn't look bad to her so she wasn't concerned (as if everything wrong is visible and couldn't possibly need further information or questions or scans or biopsy)

When I yelled in pain she said she wasn't sure what I wanted.

Told her I was in pain and that I've had letters from gyneo suggesting I visit when the cysts happen again but every time I do that they don't do anything and I'm stuck in a circle where I'm in agony and noone will help me.

She then again said I'm not sure what you want me to do?

I panicked and suggested an MRI as I've read those are sometimes best course of action.

I'm grateful she has told me she will request one (whether this happens or not)

But I wanted a proper diagnostic work up and questions.

I'm so scared and it's been two years that I've been presenting where I'm told when the cysts get bad.

But each time they refuse treatment or scans or biopsy.

I'm lost and I can't see a way out of my trauma and noone seems to care.

I've been on antibiotics every month and they never work it just keeps coming back.

I had to give up work and use a wheelchair because of the pain.

I am there because I don't have a medical degree and don't know best course of action.

Felt very very stupid and scared and still in a cycle of agony where I'm getting no help.
