Dear Gettingoot

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us via Care Opinion.

I'm really sorry to hear that there were issues with getting transport home for you, which delayed your discharge. This must have been very frustrating for you.

I have passed your feedback on to the Clinical Management Team to review.

Thanks again

Louise

Hi

Thank you for your response, I also had an issue where a tooth was chipped during surgery.

I have the chipped bit of tooth, I told two staff members about this and they said it must have happened during surgery, either insertion of tubes or removal.

I was told to make an emergency appointment with my dentist on my discharge as the sharp bit of tooth was rubbing against my tongue.

Dear Gettingoot

I am sorry to hear of your experience with your discharge from the RIE.

Without knowing any further detail it is difficult to comment on your specific experience as there are numerous reasons why discharges may fall through and often we can make alternative transport arrangements even at short notice.

It would therefore be helpful if you could get in touch with our Patient Experience Team via email at feedback@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk or telephone on 0131 536 3370 so that we can look in to this in more detail for you.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Niall
