"It was truly remarkable"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as the patient),

I was admitted onto Blake Ward on Monday, 9th October for a sinus operation and was struck by the warmth of all the staff. I was especially grateful to Nurse Caroline and Receptionist Jane for keeping my spirits high.

The good humour and kindness continued in the operating theatre. What's normally an anxious time was actually jolly. I thank (the formidable) Anaesthetist, Dr Julie  for her reassurance and Ross for his impressive cannulation skills! After the operation, I was treated with gentle kindness in recovery - thank you.

I was fortunate to be cared for by 'the dream team' of Nurse Deborah  and HCA Joel over night. They were so hardworking and attentive that I felt in very safe hands. Also, the tenderness and patience with which they helped an older patient during the night was actually moving.

Finally, I want to thank Mr. Chisholm for  carrying out my sinuplasty. I went into theatre in pain and left pain free. It was truly remarkable - thank you.
