I went for a Covid vaccine, I noticed I had yellow hand and mentioned it to the girl who was going to jab me. She told me to get an urgent appointment. I went to my GP, and she acted promptly and got bloods done right.
Next I was referred, I had a scan and then I went to see David at Glasgow Royal and he acted promptly as well. I got surgery, and I was very well looked after. They treated me like a queen really. As soon as I woke up the surgeon was standing there, and he told me it was done and he’s been able to do it with a laparoscope, so I didn’t need a stoma. He phoned my daughter to tell her the surgery was over, and I was only in hospital for 6 days and treated very very well.
Then I went back for check up. I need chemotherapy, and I had to go to the Beatson in Glasgow and I had 5 months of chemo and again, I was very well looked after. I have got nothing, but praise.
Even if you think something is daft or insignificant then go and get checked.
