My husband was admitted to the Rowan Unit at the Susan Carnegie Centre Stracathro, after having a serious mental breakdown and suicidal thinking. It was a very challenging time for us and he was seriously unwell. The staff of the Rowan Unit were totally professional and were extremely kind to him each and every day in every way. They took time to talk and walk with him and listened attentively at all times. They used humour so appropriately and were extremely patient and thoughtful each and every day. The staff deserve the highest of praise for their care and compassion.
They were also really thoughtful and kind to me and kept me informed of his progress daily. They were so welcoming on my visits and reassuring at what was a very challenging time
We really can’t praise each and everyone of them highly enough.
